OOC NOTE: This is a staff NPC and should not be NPC'd by players for any reason, nor should interaction be assumed without explicit permission from staff. She may be RP'd as being seen by the ruins but that is it.

Background

Very, very little is known about this woman (or former woman) who is generally referred to as 'The Captain'. Her and her 'team' of sixty or seventy beings guard the ruins of a hidden building on the surface of Piraeus. She has not said anything about her past or who she was. Not that it's easy to hold a conversation with her. She is around the ruins almost constantly but follows the same rules of the other 'ghosts' or 'holograms' or whatever it is that they are.

She is generally helpful when she can be. She has become more friendly and can be noticed (in the corner of your eye) smiling sometimes, as if pleased. But she does seem to take her role or position very seriously. When it comes to some sort of perceived enemy, The Captain is not someone that any person would likely want to be in the crosshairs of. Not only is her true nature unknown, there's no way of knowing just how much sway she carries or how far the power extends across the planet.

Description

cap3.jpg

For those that have the opportunity look right at The Captain without having her vanish, she is a symbol of strength in her late twenties or very early thirties. She has very dark skin complemented by very rich brown eyes with just a hint of green. Standing at roughly five feet, seven inches, she has wide shoulders for a woman, but they carry a lot of subtle strength. Were she to have any exposed skin, one might see the tone and definition there as well. She has a very solid build to her, that is doubtless. The look in her eyes, though, betrays the loss she has seen and the hardships her eyes have seen. Not with sadness, but with confidence of cause.

What she's wearing is nothing short of full combat gear, right down to the hints of smeared green facepaint around the edges of her face. The camouflage she wears is also completely foreign to the digital cammies the Marines typically wear into battle, the mess of it being mostly dull grey-greens and greens with hints of brown. The camouflaging effect is startling effective for Piraeus, leaving her difficult to see from a distance if she does not move. For gear? It looks like a heavily modified and personalized plate carrier, but not a design any Colonial has seen before. Much like the CMC's own, there are magazine pouches across the front as well as an unfamiliar sidearm strapped to the front. Probably grenades in other pouches, miscellaneous ones carrying who knows what else. There's a patrol pack on her back, as well. A rank insignia, or what must be, is center at the top of the carrier - a black outlined, unfilled circle with a black dot in the center. There is a single five-pointed star in the circle, done in a lighter greyish-looking color. Her helmet is of a similar design to the ones that the Marine JTACs use but seems more sturdy and it looks to have been spraypainted - like the unfamiliar rifle. If seen in the sunlight she will normally wear sunglasses.

Yamoha's Crew

There are sixty to seventy of these people around the ruins at any given time, men and women, with a split about 25% female. All of them are dressed very similarly to The Captain. Most of them have gear that closely approximates what she carries but with some clear customizations to the individual. There are also very clearly defined rolls for some of them. The medics have different priorities on their chest rigs. The machinegunners carry their own distinct weapons. One of the males has what looks like a rocket propelled grenade launcher strapped vertically to his backpack. One thing that ties all of them together, though, is the fact that they all look like very rough people. A few have painted faces that match the uniform colorings and pattern.

OOC Rules of the 'Ghosts'

These are pretty simple and not to be violated. For players. Staff has it's own set of rules.

  • They cannot be interacted with at all. They do not hold conversations with Colonials as they cannot speak to them. They do speak to each other but the only sound is something like hearing someone breathing a whisper you have no hope of hearing.
  • They cannot be looked directly at. If an individual looks directly at one of the 'ghosts', they vanish into thin air. A good rule of thumb is that if your PC can make out minute details of a 'ghost', it's not being done properly.
  • Only staff may RP these beings leaving the forested area around the ruins.
