RE: Piraean Bunker - Recommendations

SUMMARY RECOMMENDATIONS

In conclusion, we saw little evidence of what force attacked the bunker, but it was clear that it was overpowering, relentless, and ruthless. I want to call attention to the fact that the inner compound was hermetically sealed even though it appeared that everyone had perished. This leads me to suspect that either this was an automated system response, or something or someone sealed the structure after the massacre. I highly suggest that a team be sent to immediately secure and hermetically re-seal the facility to prevent further exposure to the elements and wildlife.

In addition to putting a team together to further investigate the hatch, I have a list of what I consider higher priority targets for investigation. I would recommend that we take samples of the door locks. We can use various techniques to determine whether the door locks were simply melted in one application, or if heating and cooling techniques were also used to weaken the molecular structure. This will help us get a better idea of the capabilities the enemies the Piraean's were facing.

Furthurmore, I would recommend, if possible, using non-invasive scanning techniques to investigate the round inside one of the corpses. This would include an analysis of the entry and path or any other unusual characteristics to provide a full profile of what that round did once entering the body.

Lastly, I'd suggest a team to investigate the power source as a precursor to opening the hatch if command decides we should do so. I recommend that this be done by EOD techs with Dr. Thanos' supervision. I believe the EOD skill set and equipment would provide the least destructive outcome and maximum safety.

OFFICER'S RECOMMENDATIONS

PRIORITY: This is, without question, a war grave. Whomever enters this site should be briefed on using maximum respect and honor for the site, the bodies, and what has taken place there. This is not a disposal or clean-up. This site is a breached tomb and should be rendered the respect afforded by what took place there and the fight that was made. Zero tolerance should be afforded for those who cannot follow those guidelines.
