He came aboard the Orion for what was supposed to be the last 18-month cruise, after the death of his mother, and has done what he can to carry his part of load for the Air Wing ever since, regardless of how he has felt about what's happened.

Jason_icon.png LTJG Jason "Stand-Up" Springthorpe Well, this is me. Jason Evander Springthorpe, formerly an actor, now a pilot. Trying to keep myself from giving in to the dark moments of my mind now that what we knew as home has gone away. Some people may call me a good person or something, but allow me to have some doubt about that myself. I guess my biggest question in life is, am I as bad a person as my father?

Other Info

~ Artist - Song ~ Lyric ~ Meaning
Johnny Cash - Solitary Man "Don't know that I will, but until I can find me. A girl who'll stay and won't play games behind me. I'll be what I am, a solitary man." What happened between his mother and father has left Jason a bit disillusioned when it comes to love and similar kinds of relationships.
Queen - The Show Must Go On "Empty spaces, what are we living for? Abandoned places, I guess we know the score." He's currently rather unsure of what to live for. But the Show Must Go On…
Diana Krall - Boulevard of Broken Dreams "The joy that you find here you borrow, You cannot keep it long it seems. But gigolo and gigalette, Still sing a song and dance along, Boulevard of broken dreams." The song reminds Jason of happier times, and was one of his mother's most famous recordings. (If a PB was to be picked for her, it would be Diana Krall).
Frank Sinatra - Luck Be a Lady "A lady doesn't leave her escort. It isn't fair, it isn't nice. A lady doesn't wander all over the room, and blow on some other guy's dice." One of the songs he may have a tendency to sing in the cockpit when on missions. Especially if they're under attack!
Bent Fabricus-Bjerre - Norwegian Sunset (Instrumental) One of the melodies he plays when playing harmonica.
Mark Knopfler - Everybody Pays "All those directions which we never took, to go our different ways. Who went and wrote the oldest story in the book? Everybody pays, everybody pays to play" Because we all have to leave behind something to manage to go on.
Simon & Garfunkel - I Am A Rock "Hiding in my room, safe within my womb. I touch no one and no one touches me." It may not be the bravest thing to do, but for now, I'm comfortable in my bubble.
