"Do not touch anything unnecessarily. Beware of pretty girls in dance halls and parks who may be spies, as well as bicycles, revolvers, uniforms, arms, dead horses, and men lying on roads — they are not there accidentally."
-Soviet infantry manual, ~30's
Background
"Life could be worse."
It might as well be Anton's motto. His home life on Caprica was alright. He was a decent Pyramid player in secondary, but not good enough to get a scholarship. His first posting was whatever. And he had the pure luck to be put on a top secret assignment that really just turned out to be guarding this or that gate on Piraeus. If the Cylons hadn't returned, he might have died of boredom. Instead, he has missed the entire war (so far) somehow. He's never even shot at a real Centurion.
So how do you fit in on a ship full of people who have seen the war first hand?
